How to increase time in quizzes to accommodate a student

I looked up previous posts and answers on this topic from 8/2024, but is did not help. There is no more "Build" buttons or way to get to "Moderate" to set increased times (e.g. 1.5 or 2x) for specific students. I need to increase time for a few students for a quiz in Canvas, but I do not know how to do it now! Thanks for any help.

Could you offer some additional details?  I get the impression from what you have sent so far that you have moderated quizzes in the past, but you are no longer seeing the option to Build the quizzes?  Are you using the directions from How do I use the Moderate page in New Quizzes? 

Is this a quiz that  was recently imported or copied to a course?  I have had some experiences where New Quizzes were imported as Classic Quizzes into a new course.  If the quiz was converted to a Classic Quiz, there would be no Build button.  Before you open the quiz, is the rocket icon shaded in (New Quiz) or not shaded in (Classic Quiz)?

Thanks, Ryan. I was doing a "classic," but I was trying to find the "moderate" button without publishing the quiz yet. As soon as I published, I was able to see the "moderate" button. Thanks, anyways!

Hi @jean_koketsu ...

You said that you do not see a "Build" button any more.  Do you know if you are still using the New Quizzes interface?  Or, are you using the older Classic Quizzes interface?  You can determine which one you are using by looking at these two videos:

I didn't realize that I had to publish the course before I could click "Moderate" to provide accommodation. As soon as I published it, I was able to see the "moderate" button. It turns out I have the "Classic." Thank you for your help!
