I am currently a TA and grad student so I have many grading tasks in my to-do list. I like to be able to see what grading tasks I have but my to-do list is often clogged by another non-necessary course that my university has assigned to me. It is a student senate page that assigns scholarship applications as assignments, so I have many non-course tasks blocking my other important tasks. I am able to close these to clear the list but every time I log back on the tasks are back. I looked to see if I could leave the course or silence the notifications but found nothing. Does anyone have reccomendations?

Hey @NathanFulton ,
Welcome, and thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!
Since it sounds like the course isn't really necessary for you to access, have you considered reaching out to the university and seeing if they can either remove you, or conclude you from the course? This way all those to-do items will be removed from your list, however if they conclude you specifically, you'll still have access to the course if necessary by going through your Past Enrollments.
Canvas doesn't exactly have a way for you to prevent certain items from appearing in your to do list, and your university's canvas admin would control whether or not you're able to drop the course yourself or not.
I hope this helps a bit, always reach back out with any additional questions or concerns you have, we're always happy to help!
All the best to you,
Noah

You can try the Google Chrome Extension I built here: Enhanced To Do List (Ungraded submissions) - Chrome Extension
This extension allows you to apply different filters to the to-do list, and your settings will be saved the next time you open it.
