Endless Load Screen on Repeat Attempts (build on last attempt)

My students are all encountering a red error bar when they attempt a second attempt on an assignment. I suspect it's related to "Enable Build on Last Attempt" because I made an edit on the assignment that coincided almost to the minute with them being locked out of repeat attempts. My guess is that "Build on Last Attempt" was attempting to access the exact same quiz which no longer existed because of my edits.

I disabled "Build on Last Attempt" but the issue persisted even into the next day. I ended up deleting the assignment and recreating it, this time without the feature. 

I attempted to include an example of the error message but couldn't.

When my kids did another attempt, it marked all of the hidden ones wrong.  For example, Johnny got 9 out of 10 on first attempt.  Johnny takes 2nd attempt and get the only incorrect question correct, but now his new score is 10%.

Contacted Canvas repeatedly but couldn't get it to work yet.

We are also having this issue.

I too am having to disable it because they need their extra attempts.

Great idea if they can get it to work. A student was not presented with all of their wrong answers and then one they got right before was marked wrong on 2nd attempt.
