Hi,
I have Canvas send me email when my child's grade falls below designated threshold (I set that threshold) and have been getting those emails. But for some reason I can't set that up for my 2 younger kids. Where do I go to set this up? I'm not looking for notification for each individual assignment graded, but overall grade, and canvas only sends me notification if it's below my designated threshold (e.x., 90%)
I know Canvas can do this since I have that set up for my oldest child (11th grade) but cannot find that setting anymore (it's not in enotification settings)
Thank you.
How old are your younger kids? Is it possible their teachers aren't using Canvas for grades? Some districts have a different program that stores the official grades of record, and Canvas is used for distributing materials and for turning in work but not as a place to record grades. I would check with your children's teachers to find out if they are using Canvas for grades.
Hi @mktown82,
I'm not actually aware of functionality in the Canvas LMS that would give that kind of notification/alert on an overall grade threshold. I wonder if the school your oldest child goes to has an additional product plugged in to Canvas providing that functionality for you. Maybe the Impact tool Instructure offers has this as part of it, but I don't have any personal experience with that tool, ad my institution does not have it. Like @TrishaMeyer1 suggested, I'd definitely ask someone at your older child's school what they may be using, then see if it's an option at the school your other children go to as well.
