Hi folks, When I move a reminder around on the Calendar, regardless of where that reminder is, the screen refreshes to the top of the page. It's a time-waster that adds up. And I prefer the Agenda view but can't drag and drop in that view. Have any of you tech-savvy hacker-types decoded the secret message for doing this? (...or perhaps read deeper into the training manuals than I have :^( Thanks for any advice you might have

Hello @hshaw1
When testing within the Calendar Agenda view, I am not able to drag and drop. It looks like this is a limitation of the Agenda View of the Calendar unfortunately.

Hi @hshaw1,
Apologies for the sometimes confusing terminology that the community site here has. I think it's just the terminology available in the platform the community runs on. You can basically treat "solution" as "answer" if that makes a bit more sense to you. Unfortunately, there are many cases where the answer is that Canvas doesn't do exactly what a person is asking for, and this may be one of those cases for you.
I could see where drag and drop in agenda view could be beneficial, but I could also see where it would be problematic without a redesign of the view because only days with items are listed, and users may want to move an item to a day that doesn't exist in the view. My guess is that's one of the reasons drag and drop isn't available there currently. As @cstrikwerda mentioned, this could be submitted as an idea/feature request to Instructure following the steps in the How do I create a new idea in the Instructure Comm... - Instructure Community - 2986 guide.
I hope this info helps a bit, even though I know it's not really what you wanted to hear.

I find it disingenuous that you claim the problem is solved by saying that you don't have a solution. It's not resolved on the part of the user. You didn't even offer a logical explanation for why this function is impossible. If you'd spent the time that we do wasting inordinate amounts of time on silly clicking and scrolling, you (in the company sense) might be more inclined to solve the problems.

Hi @chriscas, Thank you for responding. Your explanation of the problem of the agenda view does indeed help me understand the bigger picture of what makes it problematic to make the change. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. I think clear communication is valuable. Having an explanation makes "No" much more understandable and palatable. Thank you again. All the best, Heidi
