Discussion board Settings

Is it possible, to set discussion boards so that students have to post their comment, before that can see what other students posted. As currently set up, it appears students can see everyone's response before they respond. This causes an obvious problem when reading student responses to the discussion board.

Yes, absolutely you can!

When you create the Discussion, look at the options provided.  One is a checkbox you have to check that is "Participants must respond to the topic before viewing other replies."
