Canvas Gradebook Set Default Grade no longer working.

Does anyone have a workaround for the Gradebook feature "Set Default Grade"?

It doesn't seem to work anymore.  Except when it does.

Let me explain.

Sometime this semester, since January '25, "Set default grade" stopped working.

Invoking the feature, entering a default grade, all I get is the "spinning thing".

No grades are ever updated with my default entry.

It worked earlier in the semester, and has been working for years.

I have tried in Chrome and Edge.  And yes, both are fully updated.

Except - om my work computer this week it worked again at least three times in three separate sections.

It didn't work last week at work.

It does not work on my home computer as of today.

I have made no changes to my Canvas settings.

Anyone have a clue?

Hi @parmana  -- that is frustrating.   Other than recommending to clear the cache, I'm not sure what to offer, except to contact Canvas Support.  Do you have the option to click on Help and contact them?
