Creating new Course

Aloha, 

I have been using the free Canvas for a few years now. I need to create a new course. 

Start a New Course TAB

There is a drop down with TWO options. 

• Manually - create the course 
• NorAm 

In the past I have clicked Manually Create, what is NorAm drop down for?

What does this do, what is it used for? 

Second part to my question...

• Is there away to import pass course I have used into the new one? I don't know if this is an option for the free Canvas. If so, can I get a step by step to save myself some heartache?

 I'm not really sure what NorAm does or what it's there for, but my assumption is that it means North America.

Yup...you can do this by using the Course Import Tool within Canvas.  You'll be importing (copying) content from a past course into your current course.  You'll want to log into a current or empty Canvas course, and then follow the steps outlined in:

How do I copy content from another Canvas course using the Course Import tool?

As you go through these steps, you will be selecting the past course (where the content exists).  It will then import (copy) that course content from the past course into your current course.
