I understand that you have a student who is not seeing content that other students are seeing in the assignments area.
- This question might best directed to Canvas support. They would just need to know who the student is, and have a link to your course where this is happening. If you could get a screenshot from the students perspective, displaying what they are seeing there, that would help support get a better understanding of the issue.
Some things you can check on your end:
- Are the assignments and quizzes assigned to everyone in the course? Students will only see content that is assigned to them. By default assignments are assigned to everyone.
- Have you checked the assignments page in student view? Student view will allow you to view the course in the same way that your students view your course. Are you able to see all the assignments in student view?
Some things that the student can troubleshoot:
- I'm not exactly sure what the student is seeing on their end. It could something such as a cache and cookie issue with their browser. If the page is just not loading, you could have the student try to clear the cache on their browser. Here are the Canvas guides for clearing cache and cookies on MAC and PC. Be sure to have them select "All Time" or "All History" for the time range.
- It could be a blocked cookie. Sometimes students will accidentally block third party cookies in their browser. They can adjust that in the browser settings if that is the case.
- Are they able to see the assignment content while using an incognito private browser window?
