In the following update: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Releases/Canvas-Deploy-Notes-2024-11-06/ta-p/619719
The notes state for the Notification Option for Announcements in Blueprint Courses
"When creating a new announcement in a blueprint course, an Enable New Item Notifications checkbox is available, allowing users to receive notifications for the new announcement.
This update ensures that users are promptly notified of new announcements in a blueprint course. This helps improve communication and ensures important updates are not missed, enhancing overall course management and engagement".
I'm not sure what this means.
Does this mean that the notifications settings for students on courses that are linked to the blueprint will be altered for those courses to allow for notifications to be sent to the students with new announcements for those courses only?

Hi @DanielGraham ,
Currently, when a new announcement is created and synced from a blueprint course, students in associated courses aren’t notified, which can be frustrating for teachers. A common workaround was to set a 15-minute delay on announcements, hoping the sync completed in time to trigger notifications.
With this new setting, teachers can simply check the Enable New Item Notifications checkbox to notify students about specific synced announcements, without relying on time-sensitive workarounds. This does not alter current notifications settings. I hope this helps.
