Can I create a signature in Inbox?

Hello,

I would like to have my signature [basically, my name] automatically appear at the end of every message I send to my students, as you can usually do in every other mailing system. I consulted the Instructor Guide, but could not find anything on how to set up a signature in the kb about Inbox.

Last night I stumbled upon a blog post from someone at Instructure, and it looks like signatures are going to be a "thing" in the Canvas Inbox.  The link I'm providing has a lot of other updates...so take a look:

Thats is correct.  There is not currently a setting or tool for automatically adding a signature line to inbox messages.

Thank you, I was afraid so. Would it be technically difficult to add to Inbox?  I get tons of messages from students every day, and I often sign my responses with "db," short for my full name, but also ... well, short. Students may find it abrupt. The ability to have a signature would be very useful to all users, I believe.

At one point, there was a feature idea open for voting which focused on adding a signature to inbox messages. You could always resubmit the idea for a new group of voters! This document will walk you through the process: How do I create a new feature idea in the Canvas Community?‌

I also agree that using a signature would be very convenient.  A signature is a standard email system, and I communicate with my Canvas rostered students from the Inbox.

As mentioned above, please add your star rating and comments to this Feature Idea...so Instructure has "real world" examples as they consider whether or not they will be able to implement this into the Canvas Inbox...
