We´ve heard back from several students who reported their calculator did not load in a New Quiz. It required them to refresh their browser or to log out and log back into the Canvas and reopen the quiz. In exam conditions, this has been disruptive and we´ve recommended a workaround which works, but we would like to make sure this doesn´t happen.
The workaround was:
1. students accessed course
2. students opened quiz
3. calculator did not load
4. students reloaded their web page
5. calculator loaded for most
6. if the calculator did not load, students left course and logged back in.
We reported it to Canvas, which could not replicate it and recommended students clear their browser cache. Has anyone seen this, has been able to identify what causes it, and has a solution?

I would recommend students clear cache and cookies before taking an exam. let me explain why.
Often, when users visit websites, websites "inject" code to make the website run faster, used for web services such as tracking for ads, etc. However, when users do not clear their cache and cookies (the "injected code", so to speak) every so often, the cache/cookies that canvas generates can in a simplified way, "have some conflicts" with other website cache/cookies.
Fortunately, Canvas provides guides on how to clear your cache and cookies for both Mac and PC:
1. Here is the guide for clearing cache for MAC: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Basics-Guide/How-do-I-clear-my-browser-cache-on-a-Mac/ta-p...
2. Here is the guide for clearing cache on PC (Windows and Linux):

Hope this helps!
