We have been playing with students submitting videos of chemistry labs. Short technique type of things.
We have Panopto but will probably drop it due to cost soon. It was clunky to submit to canvas anyway it seemed.
So when panopto is gone there must be easy ways to do this. It seems submitting the video into the assignment didn't work well last i tried. Suggestions?

@jryter1 ...
Students can record short videos using the media recorder built into the RCE (Rich Content Editor). Or, students could record something "offline", and then upload it into Canvas. Here are some Guides that will help:

Keep in mind some of the limitations that are described in the light blue boxes at the top of these Guides, however...such as file size and length of the videos.
Also, if you have Canvas Studio (which is a paid add-on from Instructure), students could use that as an alternative to what I've provided above. Students can then attach/embed those videos to assignment submissions.
I hope this will be of some help to you. Let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks!
