Adding assignments not created in the calendar to the calendar

I began using Canvas last year and am importing the course that I created to use again this year. When I created assignments last year I did so through the assignments tab and the +Assignments feature. Now we are being tasked with using the Canvas calendar. How do I add the assignments that were imported from last year's class to the calendar for this year? Is this method simple or do I need to reenter all of the information for each assignment from the Calendar tab?

A much better way to update dates is to click on Assignments. Then click on the 3 dots and select "Edit Assignment Dates." Here, you can add/modify Due Dates and Availability Dates for all of your Assignments at one time at one location. There's no need to go to the Calendar to make changes.

@BruceMayhue You should not need to do anything other than make the due dates for the assignments dates of this calendar year. Anything with a due date automatically appears on the Canvas calendar, no additional steps are needed.
