I help get courses ready for my adjuncts so that means them adding me to their courses so I can import my content and edit it for them. My access goes away quickly even though they add me as a teacher. Same thing happens when our tech people add me to a course! I have never had this happen before! It has really become a burden as I am trying to get my adjuncts ready for the first day of school.

Hi @misimmo1
This can happen if your school automatically manages enrollments/instructor assignments in courses based on official instructor assignments, and you were initially assigned to those courses in your SIS but then removed. When that happens, the record of your instructor assignment in Canvas gets marked as "Deleted". Your adjunct can manually add you back into the course, but every night (or however frequently your school updates Canvas from your SIS), your instructor assignment gets set back to "Deleted" as the integration with your SIS synchs the Canvas enrollments with the enrollment status in your SIS.
At least, that is what we see happen at my school.
The workaround is for your tech people/Canvas admin to create another section within the course shell, and add you to that one rather than the default section.

@misimmo1 Why don't you create a development ("Sandbox") course in which you can create and edit content? Then add your instructors to the Sandbox course and have them import the content into their own course shells. I think that would be much easier.
