We have a faculty member who is interested in an AI tool that does the following:
After a student has submitted an assignment online, the tool analyzes the assignment, then generates a quiz based on the submitted assignment. The quiz would be time based so students don’t have the opportunity to use AI to search for the answers, and the results of the quiz can be preserved in the grade book.
The goal is to verify the student understands the work they submitted (i.e. they didn’t just have an AI program or a ghost writer write it for them).
Is anyone here aware of any such tool that exists or is in the pipeline that would do anything like this? I looked through the external apps and didn’t see anything that matches up. We do already have TurnItIn, but we don’t have AI detection enabled due to the possibility of false positives.
