Hiding group from my student dashboard - mobile app ios

I have a group from one of my classes showing up on my dashboard when I view the canvas app through my ios device. The group assignment is over and I would like to hide the group as I no longer need it. Is there anyway to do this? The edit Dashboard link only allows me to hide courses, and the help article only talks about courses. Any help would be appreciated.

The only way you could remove yourself from a group is if you were able to "self sign-up" for the group originally. This guide provides the steps if that is the case:How do I leave a group as a student?
If you did not sign yourself up for the group, the instructor would have to remove you or you will be removed when the course is concluded in Canvas by the institution.
