Hello -
I've recently discovered how js can make canvas life so much better (thanks to James!)
I wondered if there was a js to improve the file experience.
Like many - I have multiple copies of the same files due to course imports. I would love a way to tell which version is currently used in the course - so I can delete the ones that are not.
(If it also indicated the location of the file that would be AWESOME! But I don't want to ask for too much!)
Yes - I know that TidyUp exists, but I don't want to make that type of request to the college. I'm only part-time. I just wanted to check to see if some js file magic is already out there!
Thanks,
cmw
@CMW-PGCC ...
I was also going to suggest TidyUP. I might suggest that you do talk with your school's Canvas administrator(s) about this tool. TidyUP wouldn't be just something for you...it would be something for your school's entire Canvas account...so that all instructors teaching in Canvas could use it. I'm betting that other instructors might be in the same boat as you...wanting to do some file cleanup. I've had some experience with TidyUP, and it's a really great tool to get those rogue files deleted from your course.
We use Tidy Up from CidiLabs, and it provides a low cost interface for the instructors. I think the JS would be rather complex and only work as you programmed it in. The have a bulk rate.
