Hello! We were caught by surprise (during our Final Exam week, while faculty are also building their January Term courses) that the "Apps" tab in the Settings area of our production environment is now named "Apps (Legacy)". That seemed odd because, in Prod at this time, there is no non-legacy option for faculty to use; seeing the word "legacy" implies that there's a better, more-current place for them to be working, but at this time there isn't because the new Apps feature is only in Beta.
Can we confirm that this renaming of the Settings tab in Prod (and Test) was intentional and that it's not going to revert to the previous "Apps" text? Now that I've got our documentation updated and we're going to start clarifying to faculty that they should look for the tab labeled "Apps (Legacy)" it would be really unfortunate to have the language revert back to what it was up until last week.
And, was this change announced or documented anywhere? We knew this was being worked on in Beta and the tool looks promising, but to have Beta releases affect the behavior of our Prod environment is new to us.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Per our CSM, this change from "Apps" to "Apps (Legacy)" was pushed to Production in error and would be reverted. I don't know when during our holiday break it was changed back, but our tab in Settings is now simply "Apps" again (in all three of our environments -- Prod, Test and Beta).

Thank you for the follow up info!
Thanks for posting and for the update! It's still showing Apps (Legacy) up here in Canada.. but I'm sure it will flip back soon.
