In this Canvas Badges/Credentials release (4 December), Blueprint integrations and Course Copy are supported. Additionally, course roster updates sync to groups automatically.

Summary
Admin and Instructors can sync badges and pathways when a course is associated with a Blueprint course.
Note: Badges and pathways are synced automatically and do not require any action from the user.
Change Benefit
This feature enhances the effectiveness of courses by automating the creation and syncing of credentials, improving the efficiency and scalability of an institution's credentialing process.
Additional Details
This update is available to Canvas Credential users only. Additionally, this feature has the following limitations:
- LTI 1.1 is not supported.
- Only newly created blueprint associations will sync. Blueprint associations that were already setup in Canvas prior to the release are not supported.
- For the associated course, emails are not sent out for new pathway subscriptions on association creation.
- If the issuers differ on the blueprint course and on the associated course, then no content will be synced between the blueprint course and the associated course.
- If a user modifies an objective on the associated course level which was originally synced from the blueprint course, the objective will no longer be synced to that specific associated course.
Steps of currently unsupported scenario:
- Blueprint course is created and set up in Canvas, but not launched in Credentials.
- Associated courses are created and set up in Canvas, but not launched in Credentials.
- Blueprint sync button is clicked in Canvas.
- Blueprint course is synced and badges/pathways are added in Credentials.
- Associated courses are launched in Credentials. Badges/pathways which were setup on the blueprint course are not copied over to the associated courses only if the user selects the blueprint sync button again in Canvas.
These steps result in the user not seeing the content from the blueprint course on the associated course until the Sync button is clicked in Canvas.

Summary
Instructors can export and import courses with associated badges and pathways.
Notes:
- Badges and pathways are synced automatically and do not require any action from the user. Users cannot use the Select Specific Content feature to copy badges and pathways.
- Groups are not copied and a new empty group is created with the issuer from the original course.

Summary
When a Group is created via the Credentials LTI, name or email changes made to the course roster are synced automatically. When a user's email address is changed, badges awarded to the previous email address are revoked and re-issued to the new email address.

This feature improves efficiency by automating the syncing of updates to user names and emails in groups.
