Practice v. Graded quiz

What is the difference between a practice quiz and a graded quiz? I need to see what the students score but I am giving a pre assessment and do not want to count it as a grade.

Hi  @maureen_nolan  

I use practice quizzes extensively. While they do not create a column in the gradebook nor count towards the student grade, you can still add point values to the question items, and I do, so that both you and your students can measure achievement. Viewing the results of a practice quiz is different than with a graded quiz, but this guide will show you how it is done https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-12908-4152182372
