Any idea what is going on here with the file button grayed out?

It was some sort of glitch and should be fully operational now.

Hello there, @BStutzman ...

Are you referring to the "Files" course navigation button within your Canvas course(s)?  If so, is there a crossed-out eye icon next to the word "Files"?  If that eye icon is displayed, you may need to enable the button using these instructions: How do I manage Course Navigation links? - Canvas Community.

Keep us posted on this...as I've seen one other similar topic posted today.

We have the same problem. It's within the rich content editor.

No, this was a systemwide glitch that is now resolved.
