[ARCHIVED] deleting multiple messages

Has CANVAS ever looked at developing a way to delete multiple messages rather than clicking on EACH message in a group and hitting the delete icon?  I requested this years ago.

This is already possible...and has been for quite some time.  I'm not sure if you are an instructor or a student, but here are the two Guides that tell you exactly how this can be done:

Specifically, look at the section on "Select Multiple Conversations".

Yes I am an instructor and yes I know ow to delete a conversation, but I want to delete multiple as in 100 conversations for example without clicking on EACH conversation.

Hi  @hoesterj ...

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "other message"...as I've only replied to you once here in the Canvas Community.  But, I'm glad that you were able to get this figured out.  Yes, as the Guide I liked to suggests, you'll want to select your first message, hold down the Shift key, and then select your last message.  This will highlight a range of message in your Canvas Inbox, and then you can delete them.  This is very similar to how you can delete files on your computer.  I hope this helps, Jane.
