[ARCHIVED] add teachers to a canvas course

Having special Canvas powers, I've always been able to add myself as a co-teacher to a Canvas course at my school. I last did this about a week ago. Now, I seem to have lost the power. When I now go into a teacher's course, the add people button is greyed out. I am in administrator mode and not my regular teacher Canvas mode. Am I don't something wrong or did the policy change? Did I get demoted?

Is the course still open?  If the course participation dates are closed (or Term dates, if that's governing access), the People button is grayed out, even for Admins. No one can be added to a closed course.

gpillsbury, I guess that was it. I may have mistakenly opened courses that were not active. Perhaps I was confused by the dozens of courses for teachers. As I go in now and am mindful about it being for 21-22, I am able to edit people in courses. gpillsbury, thank you so much for your prompt and useful reply! -Ryan
