Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
Certain pages in canvas will just not load or display any content, they're just entirely blank. Other people can access and see the content on these pages and when I load them in a new browser with default settings they load, but they won't load normally on the browser settings i normally use and I'm not sure what's causing it
Which browser settings are different from the default?

Hi @DeletedUser ...
Are you an instructor or a student? Have you tried using a different browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome? In general, either of these two browsers will give you your best browsing experience when navigating around Canvas. What are the browser and computer requirements for Canvas? Also, if you are an instructor, can you edit one of the pages that you are having difficulty viewing? If you take a look at the HTML code for the page, there may be some rogue HTML in that page hanging around that really isn't needed...and may therefore be preventing you from seeing things. It's hard to know, though, since we cannot see your course content. How do I use the HTML view in the Rich Content Editor as an instructor? I do have a short blog here in the Community called HTML Cleanup that details how instructors can clean up rogue code on a course page...if you are interested.
I hope this will be of some help to you, Carol. Sing out if you have any other questions...thanks!
We've seen this. Seems to be mostly in the grade book, but also in LTI launches. No discernible pattern. We have tried multiple browsers, incognito, clearing cache, etc. Reported to Canvas as case 08195687. Seems user-specific, possibly device-specific, but not browser-specific, and on different ISPs. Faculty impacted include one who is in IT and so was able to walk through a lot of different troubleshooting steps. It's really, really odd.
Also, unreproducible using Act As..., and intermittent. Faculty report reloading a page multiple times will eventually work.
We are seeing this more and more. Support indicates that the solution is to completely uninstall Chrome, reboot and reinstall it. Case reference: 08195687
Hi there,
I've run into this same exact issue over the last week after some staff updated to Chrome version 96.0.4664.55. So far we've gotten reports of this from 6 teachers and a student, all using Chrome version 96. A teacher was able to check for us on another device that was using version 95 and that successfully loaded the blanked out pages. I opened up a ticket with Canvas support as well (#08301243) but haven't yet heard back on it. Here's the troubleshooting we've done so far:
