[ARCHIVED] Text alignment in Syllabus

Hello from Cincinnati!

Dear colleagues,

Canvas is acting up and the Help Desk wait time is 100+ minutes😱 ! The alignment in the syllabus gets very weird after a section in the Syllabus. Everything looks great and then the text goes from right justified to left justified w/o any adjustments.Tried fixing it several ways with no success. See  attached picture.

Thoughts?

Hmmm. Interesting! 

Have you looked at resetting the formatting of that paragraph and then re-instating the headings and/or font sizes?

Highlight the section, and then look for an icon that looks like a T with a / through it. 😊

Next, I would try to decrease your indentation (move it left).

Give those two a try, and I'll wait for a response. Let's see if we can get this fixed for you without having to wait in that (very long) line!

I think that @KristinL has provided you with a great suggestion here...not one that I would have thought of.  (I always forget about that button in the Rich Content Editor.)  My suggestion is a little different, but it may help, too.  Have you ever used an online HTML editor website to clean up HTML code?  Sometimes there is rogue HTML code on pages that's causing text or other elements to display strangely.  Cleaning up your code is a way to fix some possible issues with your course pages.  I wrote a blog post a couple years ago that might help you: HTML Cleanup.
