[ARCHIVED] Restoring Assignments

Hi

One of my students noticed one of my courses had separated grades for percentages and another course had no percentages. In an attempt to add percentages to my grades for assignments, tests, and finals I deleted all the assignments accidentally. Is there any way I can recover the assignments to add percentages?

Hello there, cecile.williams Welcome to the Canvas Community.  Thanks for posting your question.  Yes, you may be able to restore your assignments by checking out this "undelete" trick detailed by  @hollands ‌: Undeleting things in Canvas‌.

Also, you can apply a grading scheme to your course for letter grades/percentages.  Here are some Guides on that for you:

The link provided for "Undeleting things in Canvas" was broken. Can you please provide it again?

You can go to the course -> assignment and then modify the url by deleting the word assignment and replacing it with undelete

eg https://yourschool.instructure.com/courses/2052/assignments and change this to eg https://yourschool.instructure.com/courses/2052/undelete

The new link would be located at: Undeleting things in Canvas - Instructure Community

The link that I had originally provided was from the old Canvas Community website, and it may not be re-directing properly.  Hopefully this new link will work for you.  If you run into links that aren't working here in the Community (because they are pointing to the old Community site), you should be able to use the search bar at the top of the page, and then type in the name of the document/page you are looking for.  Chances are, you'll be able to find it in your searching.  🙂
