I added my students via email and now all they show is pending.  Students are not seeing invite, how can they see invite?

Hi Brandon,

They should get an email from Canvas that they have an invitation to join the course.  They will also see a notice at the top of the screen when they log into Canvas telling them that they have invitations to join the course.

It has been 14 hours since I sent the invite, I have read it sometimes takes 24 hours to get the email. Is that usual?

Has the student gotten the email invitation, or logged into Canvas and seen the invitation on their dashboard?

The "pending" will only go away when the student has actually accepted the invitation.

It may take up to 24 hours for them to receive the email, but the invitation should appear on their Canvas dashboard immediately.
