Is there a way to get a list of a student's missing assignments for all of their courses?  It is tedious to click on each course.

 @BStutzman , are you asking as a Parent, teacher, Canvas Admin, or some other role? Knowing what role you serve and the level of access you have to Canvas can help with this question. In general, I can't think of anything on the front end of Canvas that would provide this information for all courses, but on the back-end I know you can use the Canvas API to generate this type of information.

Hello Kona,

I'm not the original "asker", but I too am curious.  As a parent, I'd like to be able to use the API to gather missing assignments.

Can you point me in the right direction?  I've gotten a token, and have used curl to pull some data, but I haven't quite worked out how to get the specific data I'm looking for.

 @jsurles1 , that’s a good question and one I am not able to help with. For that you’d want to post a new question in the Canvas Developers‌ group. They are the programmers and people who do stuff like this!

How is this marked solved? I don't see a solution, just advice on how to go about creating your own solution.

Definitely should not be marked as solved. Its awesome that they use API and can create wonderful stuff. Doesn't really solve the problem that should already be built in. On the Student page you have the bell notification that lists them but that is kind of clunky and the bell is not on the observer page.
