Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
When I create a quiz and I use the fill in multiple blanks option, there are times when the a answer box does not show.
For example, the question will ask find x and y.
I type
x = [x] y = [y}
I can fill in each answer, but when the students take the quiz they see
x = [x] y = [y} instead of the answer boxes.
How can I prevent this from happening?
Hi there, @LisaToohey ...
I just happened to also be working on a quiz for an instructor today that had two fill-in-the-blank spots per question...so I can help answer this question for you. In looking at your example, you have a curly bracket at the end of "y", and that is not correct. It needs to be a standard bracket. So, you should have something like this:
x = [x] y = [y]
You should then be able to specify a correct answer for both "x" and "y". Here is the Guide that explains more on this: How do I create a Fill-in-Multiple-Blanks quiz question?.
I hope this will be of help to you. Sing out if you have any other questions about this...thanks! Take care, stay safe, and be well.
