Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
When using the Link Validator, a couple of pages show a course number from a previous semester
"Links to other courses in this resource may not be accessible by the students in this course: [course number]"
When I click on the link in the Link Validator report it opens up a page from another course. However, I t does not cite what/where the link is on the page(s) in question.
What/where is the link on the page(s)?
Thank you,
Derek Wilson
Hello there, @dwilson11 ...
I think I understand the question you are asking, but I *think* you may be slightly misinterpreting what the message means and which link to click on within the message. In the Link Validator, when you get an error message such as this:
...what this means is that the page in your current course contains a link that points to another course. In my above example, in my current course where I ran the Link Validator, it found a page in my course that is called "Link to Faculty Toolkit". On that page, there is a link to the "Faculty Toolkit" ... a link that points to another course in Canvas. So, instead of clicking on the link to "Faculty Toolkit" (which would take me to the other course), I want to click on the "Link to Faculty Toolkit" link instead. This is where I will find the link to the "Faculty Toolkit" which I need to fix since it is pointing to another course.
I hope this will be of some help to you, Derek. Sing out if you have any other questions about this...thanks! Take care, and be well.
