Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
I have been working with Canvas since May. I set up the software, added my classes, students, assignments, quizzes, etc and have been excited about the new UI until I found out that I needed to be the Admin. I am the only instructor using Canvas at my school and thought I was the Admin. Not sure what to do next. I love using Canvas, but how do I change or add my role as Admin so I can upgrade to the new UI and other upgrades in the future. Help!!
Respectfully Yours,
David Ritch, Ed.S.

@dritch , it looks like the new UI should now be on and available for your account! Could you double-check and let us know if you're now seeing it?
@dritch , are you using the Canvas Free for Teacher account for your classes? If so, then I think others are experiencing the same issue with the new UI not being turned on this weekend - Can't find New User Interface. Hopefully it will get straightened out soon!
Hi Kona,
Thank You for your response. I am using the Canvas Free for Teacher account for my classes. I did also see where others are having the same problem with it not being turned on Saturday. Can I add myself as another user with admin permissions? I didn't even see that as an option when adding a user. I saw teacher, TA, student, observer and designer.
Good morning David,
