Pialli (Hello) I joined the Collaborative For Educational Services in 09/2018 and am heading the migration from Moodle to Canvas. My professional goal is working in Community to influence educational practices that improve how People of the Global Majority are served. This focus began in 1999 when I was invited to join a Chicana/o indigenous community while attending the University of Colorado (CU) in Boulder. In this Community, education became communal, authentic, and focused on decolonization of self and institutions. After earning an MA, I taught Ethnic Studies at CU then left to work at community colleges across the Front Range where I could work with students less privileged and more diverse than at the university. That experience led to joining Colorado's Department of Human Services as an instructional designer (ID) where I worked to apply Adult Learning Principles, current ID techniques, training delivery best practices, and introduce blended learning to a stagnant training culture.
