I am new to this IT Coordinator position and we are having issues with powerschool users syncing over to Canvas. When looking at the SIS import, Last Batch, we have 61 warnings. All 61 warnings are relatively the same with the below error:
What are we doing wrong or where do I begin to fix the issue?
Hi DerekBear,
This error usually means that a user is listed in the enrollments.csv file but does not exist in Canvas. Therefore the enrollment cannot be processed. Look for an user in the user.csv file that matches the user ID given.

Brian,
Do you know where i would find the user.csv file? I know I have not uploaded anything to our canvas portal.
@DerekBear You should be able to find these files through the Provisioning in Account Settings - Reports tab.
Hi Derek! I know these syncs can be a pain. But luckily Canvas has lots of documentation to help. I find that the SIS IMPORT documentation, which is linked when you click on the SIS IMPORT from your Canvas Admin page is very helpful to learn about each sync'd file and the data it collects. The header columns are explained in detail. (SEE IMAGE)
Also you can download the provisioning file from the Canvas Admin Page --> SETTINGS --> REPORTS tab. There are lots of additional reports, but you are looking for the Provisioning Report. Choose the term and select the files you want. Be mindful it can take a lot of time if you have a lot of data.
Hello @DerekBear ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Instructure Community regarding your question about your enrollments.csv sis import. It is possible there is an issue with the data that is being sent to Canvas by your SIS, Powerschool. Therefore, because of the complexity of the issue, and the concerns for privacy, it would be best if you contacted Canvas Support directly to pinpoint the source of the issue and provide a resolution: How do I contact Canvas Support? - Instructure Community .
I hope this helps ! Again, thank you for reaching out to the Instructure Community.
