We are having an issue with our nightly rollover from PowerSchool to Canvas. Earlier in the school year, there were some changes made to student schedules in PowerSchool where students were moved from one section to a different section for the same teacher. Those changes reflected in Canvas accurately. Since the new year began, many of those students who had schedule changes are now showing up as members of both sections in Canvas. I removed the section that was showing up incorrectly from each individual student's Canvas accounts, just for the nightly sync to hit and the sections to reappear.
We started off looking into whether things were done correctly in PowerSchool, which our PowerSchool administrator looked into and said all changes were made by the book.
Is there a setting I am unaware of or is this some kind of larger issue?
@CONNORBUTLER I'm wondering if it's an end date issue here. You may want to check that.
Barring that I would recommend putting in a SIS ticket with Canvas so their team can check and see why the students are being applied to multiple sections. Good luck!
Exact same issue here. Sounds like others in this forum have had the same thing happen recently. Does anyone know what changed and how we can fix the problem?

I am having the same issue. We are on semesters and had this issue with one student in December which I manually fixed daily until the semester ended. However, this is still happening. An help would be appreciated.
It sounds like this is a known issue (possibly related to the January update) and they are working on it. At least that is what they support/help told me last week. They said that they were adding me to the list to notify when it was resolved. As of today, I haven't heard anything, so I am guessing they are still working on it.
