Is there a way to disable the awarding of partial credit on a multiple-blank fill-in-the-blank question?
Context: State assessments only code questions as correct or incorrect, so even if the question requires a student to fill in 4 values on a table, the question will only be marked correct if they fill in all 4 values correctly.
New Quizzes is automatically assigning partial credit if they get 2 of the 4 values correct. Is there a way to turn off this partial credit grading? I've looked at the question set-up and the settings on the quiz and am coming up blank. Any thoughts?
@allison_stetar There is no way to set up a fill in the blank question with multiple blanks to have all or nothing scoring. (The informational note at the beginning of How do I create a Fill in the Blank question in New Quizzes? confirms that partial credit is given for each blank in this type of question.)
One workaround that comes to mind is building these all or nothing multiple blank questions as essay questions and scoring them manually in SpeedGrader. ( How do I grade a quiz in New Quizzes? )
Well that's unfortunate. Thank you for noticing that note, which clearly I did not. Appreciate it!
