New Quizzes: Marks not available in Gradebook

Hi,

We have a course where the instructor has created two New Quizzes for students to complete. These quizzes have been completed by all the students, and marked with scores available in Speedgrader. Unfortunately these marks are not showing in Gradebook.

• Speedgrader shows in the title bar that there are 0/x Graded responses, but each response has a score.
• The Gradebook shows an icon instead of the value (a page with a circle at the bottom right corner), but if you click on the icon it shows the edit mark interface with the mark from the Quiz filled in.
• The posting policy for the course and the quiz is automatic, so there is no interface to "release" the marks.
• This only affects New Quiz assignments, as there is another assignment in the course that is a file upload and the marks have copied across correctly.
• Both the New Quizzes that are affected were linked to the Respondus LockDown Browser LTI, so that might be impacting things, but I can't see how.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

From the screenshots you shared, I cannot tell, but have you checked that each and every question has been graded? When this has happened at my institution, it was because an instructor had used an essay or file upload question that needed to be manually graded. If every question is in fact graded, the instructor could try boosting the fudge points, bring it back down, and then hit the Update button.

I was just going to say something similar to @james_whalley.

That icon means that something still needs to be graded.

In the "Submission Type Icons" section of How do I use the icons and colors in the Gradebook... - Instructure Community - 781, annotation #1.

Each submission should be checked for any manual grading.  The "View Questions That Need Review" section at  How do I grade a quiz in New Quizzes? - Instructure Community - 1068 should help out.
