I have to create about 1000 work samples every year. To expedite this I have created my own system with Quizzes where I create the required header (my name, the class, date, etc) the first question. Then when I go to print and save as a PDF I have a prefect work sample because in Classic Quizzes you had the name, grade, time it took, etc at the top of the print out. It was great! (Because for work samples you are required to have the name and a grade.)
I changed to New Quizzes because Canvas said they were so great and because Classic Quizzes is going away at some unknown date. So I have spent hundreds and hundreds of hours changing over my quizzes for my seven preps to New Quizzes to find out the Programmers didn't put that functionality in New Quizzes... Why??? 😭
Now I have a bunch of work samples with out names or grades and it will take me even MORE time to edit every one of these in Adobe, which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place.
While I do love the new question choices in New Quizzes, it was a total time sync to change over to New Quizzes only to find out that it doesn't have this functionality. Can the programmers please put this in? Like...today? You have code from Classic to refer to, and it shouldn't be too hard if every keeps up on their documentation. This can't just hang on a Kanban board for months, please, this is something that I really really need and have come to rely on.
Also, I know that I am not the only teacher who needs work samples like this, so just creating a function where we can download and save each quiz individually with the click on a button like we can with assignments would be amazing because right now I have to go into print preview mode for every single one of my kids...which is about 250...and I do this quartly.
And having a space for a "Work Sample Header" that will appear in the print out and can be edited in the rich content editor would be a game changer for a lot of teachers out there. (But please do my original suggestion first.)
