I am an instructor who has been using Canvas for about 12 years, and I'm so confused by these New Quizzes Item Banks! I converted all my quizzes to New Quizzes last summer and exported my courses earlier this fall. Now, I am trying to import one into a new course for the spring, but it appears that all 74 of the images in my item banks are missing! The images do not appear in the banks in "This Course" but do appear in the duplicate banks "Shared With Me."
- How do I copy a course without losing the images in the quizzes?
- When I imported the course, should I have excluded the banks? (I saw somewhere here in the Canvas Community that if you don't import the entire course, the images won't copy.)
- I really do not want duplicate banks because having 200 banks with 100 duplicated names will be extremely confusing. Is there a way to copy a course that pulls items from my original set of banks (and why does that set have to be housed in an old course and not just in my account)?
P.S. I spent an hour and 47 minutes in a chat with the Canvas help desk to be finally told to manually replace every image in every quiz in every course.
