Importing questions to an Item Bank - Not seeing the import option

I am referencing this guide.

I do not see the option to import that is referenced here and it is a new/blank item bank I am trying to import into. But I also don't have "Item Banks" in my course nav, so I got to the Item Bank from a New Quiz after clicking "Build", then the "Item Banks" button. My screen looks just like the guides except I have no blue "import" button. What am I missing here?

Hello @LMacaulay !  

If you are not able to locate the Item Banks page from your course navigation, you most likely need to enable it in your Course Settings following the process outlined in How do I manage Course Navigation links? .  Once you create a new Item Bank on the Item Banks page of the course (an not within the Item Banks of a quiz, you should be able to import the QTI file as you are expecting to and as is explained in How do I import questions from a QTI package into an item bank in New Quizzes?

@NicoletteStaley Yes, I checked the hidden navigation items and it is not there at all. But from reading more threads, I think it is because we only have New Quizzes as an OPTION right now.  So, wondering if there is a work-around for faculty who want to use this feature even before we turn the feature option to ON and make everyone use New Quizzes? Anyone have an idea how?
