Upcoming Mastery Connect Changes

Periodically functionality will be added, changed, or removed in Mastery Connect. Announcements are made in Release Notes on an ongoing basis. Other changes may not be directly related to Mastery Connect, such as browser updates, which are not associated with Mastery Connect releases.

This document outlines the summary of all upcoming changes that may affect Mastery Connect customers.

Change Definitions

• Deprecation: The software element or feature has been replaced by newer functionality and should be avoided, as deprecation precedes its complete removal on the specified date. Additionally, support for the element or feature is no longer provided.
• End of Life: The previously deprecated software element or feature is no longer available and will be completely removed.
• Feature Enforcement: A feature (or feature option) in Mastery Connect is identified with an upcoming enforcement date, which is when the feature will be enabled in all Mastery Connect accounts. For feature options, the enforcement date is when the feature will no longer be optional, and Mastery Connect admins can use the announcement time period appropriately to roll out the feature to their institutions.

End of Life	Resources Pins & Playlists	Resource Pins allowed educators to align specific, non-assessment learning artifacts to a standard, and Playlists allow educators to group those Resources Pins for sharing to educators and students. We are retiring these features as usage is low, and they did not directly support assessment.	2025-07-31	What are Resource Pins?
End of Life	Student Class Activity	Students had an Activity page per class in the Student Portal. This displayed assessments in order of recent changes. We are retiring this page to streamline students’ experiences as the same actions can be accomplished in other student pages, including the Student Home Page, Student Class Assessments page, or the Student Progress page.	2025-07-31	How do I use the Mastery Connect Student Portal as a student?
