The curriculum map is usually set at the district level so that the scope and sequence of that particular course is outlined on the map. District level personnel can also add assessments to the map, so that when teachers make a tracker from that map they will get a copy of that assessment that can be used with students. It is a way to organize standards and push out assessments.
