CREATE A MASTERY TRACKER | MASTERY CONNECT 

 

BEFORE YOU BEGIN TO CREATE YOUR TRACKER

  • Make Sure Curriculum Maps have been shared with you

  • Make sure your Students have been Synced

CREATING YOUR TRACKER

  • Login to Mastery Connect

  • Click on the Tracker Tab 

  • Click on Create Tracker

  • Select Curriculum Map from the drop down menu

  • Select Shared with Me

  • Find and select the correct map for this tracker

TRACKER INFORMATION

  • Description (make sure you follow your district's/school's preference for naming)

  • Edit the color

  • If your account is synced select the correct class

  • Click on Create Tracker

  • Now that your new tracker is created, take this time to make sure everything is correct!

PRO TIP: If you switch grade levels or subject areas you will have to update your profile in order to see the correct Curriculum Map in the Shared with Me drop down. Locate Edit Profile under your image on your Home tab of Mastery Connect to update your current grade/subject.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN TO CREATE YOUR TRACKER

  • Make sure Curriculum Maps have been shared with you

  • Make sure your Students have been Synced

CREATING YOUR TRACKER

  • Login to Canvas

  • Click on Course in the Global Navigation Bar

  • Select the correct course

  • Click the Navigation Menu to access a sub menu

  • Click on Mastery Tracker

  • Under the panda image click on Link Mastery Tracker

  • On the new window you will select the down arrow

  • Select Create a New Tracker from a Curriculum Map

  • Under Available Maps click the down arrow

  • Find and select the correct map for this tracker 

TRACKER INFORMATION

  • Title (make sure you follow your district's/school's preference for naming)

  • Click on Link

TRACKER 

  • Now that your new tracker is created, take this time to make sure everything is correct!

PRO TIP: If you notice anything is incorrect, you will want to unlink the Mastery Tracker and repeat the steps. You do not want to unlink a Mastery Tracker after there is data in it.

Creating a Mastery Tracker in Mastery Connect or Canvas is a relatively straightforward, but particularly important process for using Mastery Connect and delivering Mastery View Predictive Assessments. And, Curriculum Maps are a great blueprint to use to help organize and ensure your Mastery Trackers are aligned to the correct standards!

Hi! 

I am looking for more information on Creating Trackers for TST and MTSS purposes. The tracker roster would be manually entered but pulled from SIS. 

Is it possible for the roster to have more details in the standards columns and also contain benchmark scores? We are trying to find the best practice for creating trackers for progress monitoring.
