[OPEN] iOS Teacher/Student | media attachments don't appear to IOS users in the Inbox
This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 10/24/24.
Description
In the Canvas Student and Teacher apps, users are unable to play and view media sent to them through the Inbox, the media does not appear to them.
Expected Behavior
Users should be able to play and view media sent them via the Inbox in a Canvas app.
Workaround
No workaround exists at this time.
Steps to Reproduce
Prerequisites: Have an active course with at least one Teacher and student.

In a course as a Teacher, navigate to the inbox

Create a new message

Select the course and select the students as a recipient

Attach a video file or record the message from your desktop directly.

Send the message with the media attached to the students
-
Go back to the message in the teacher app, notice the added media does not appear in the sent message.
Student part:

As the Student, log into the Canvas Student app

Go to Inbox
-
Open the recent received message.

Notice that the media does not appear.
