I am really excited about presenting this topic.  Last year we had a blast as I presented tips, tricks, and how-to for embedding content.  The previous year we discussed social media in education.  But this year will be the best topic possible: exploring 360 multimedia content in Canvas.  If you would like a sneak peak what exactly I will cover then feel free to browse my Canvas course (I will be clicking through this course instead of PowerPoint slides):

!! Swag Alert !!

Last year we played a game using Kahoot!  Throughout the session I presented the audience with both relevant and "interesting" questions, and the top people on the leaderboard received various "InstructureCarn" swag, from jester hats, beanie caps, foam bowties and hot dog hats, to various forms of sugar.  This year I plan to up the game and am partnering with companies to provide some awesome swag*.  I will update this page as I get more partners, but my current list includes:

I'm looking forward to this session. Last year yours was by far the best I attended. It's cool that you're giving out so many VR glasses. Are they the foldable ones that clip on to your phone?

I set up a 360 camera in my presentation. This is an example of extremely poor indoor lighting, and the breadth of the ballroom is probably greater than a typical academic setting. Also, it's really not great to have spotlights shining essentially right on the lens. But it's fun anyway.

This was filmed with the Insta360 One X, which I think is generally a fantastic device.  It captures motion great.  The audio is okay, but not as good as the GoPro Fusion, and without the options for an external mic such as the Theta V.  I debated recording this session with the Theta V because it did the best in low light than all the other cameras.  I also considered the Vuze+ because that is the only camera [that I tested] with true 3D capabilities, which would have been fun in this setting with so much depth.
