How do you ensure that credit for online coursework is given to those who actually complete the work? Many websites have sprung up over the years offering to complete entire online courses or assignments on behalf of others for a fee. In the U.S., financial aid fraud is a growing concern for the Department of Education, prompting two Inspector General reports. One report found that current federal rules “do not sufficiently mitigate the risks of fraud, abuse and noncompliance." Educators need effective technology and procedural methods to maintain the integrity of online learning. This session will outline the tools, methods, and procedures currently being implemented by many institutions around the world.
