Opening Keynote: Moments of Inspiration and Connection

The opening keynote always sets the tone for what to expect and this year was no different. Some main take always for me were:
- CEO Steve Daley laying out the three main points of focus for the the conference: Education for All, Dream Big, and the Power of the Platform.
- CCO Melissa Loble sharing about the community’s newest member, Panda Bot and progress being made on the 100 Million Learners Initiative.
- CPO Shiren Vijiasingam addressing the importance of knowing the customers and hearing that we want to know when change is going to happen which lead to the release of the Public Roadmap and restructuring of the idea process within the community. He also shared about one of the biggest topics on everyone’s mind - AI. He stress that any work with AI must follow and align with the themes of Intentionality, Safety, & Equity.
- Jordan Nguyen inspired with his journey to learn how create & innovative uses of technology can transform lives. You start with inspiration and curiosity add in collaboration and then dream big.
Overall it was a great session. Below are a few pictures, but I soon found my self listen and being in the moment and not capturing every slide.
