The same issue from 2022 has reared its ugly head and the solution suggested then is not working I have a FFT account and have had no issues adding most of my students but now when I try to add on a few stragglers I get this message "We were unable to find matches below" and then you click next and you are able to "click to add name" but instead the message "No users were selected to add to the course" appears after I click next. What happened in a day? One day it worked and today it doesn't. I am stuck 95% of my class is registered and now I can't register the last few?!?!

Hi @denisekwu ,
In my experience with free for teacher, for some reason it sometimes adds their email as a Login ID instead of actual emails. I'd recommend clicking the Login ID option and adding their emails there and seeing if that works. If not, ensure they registered their accounts with the correct email. If you're still experiencing issues, come back and let us know so we can provide you with our insight!
Best,
Noah

Hello Noah -
I am having the same issue as @denisewu, but slightly different circumstance (I think). I am trying to update an existing students email address as their old email was shut down and she wants to switch to a new one. I tried to do as you suggested (adding their email as a Login ID) but received the same error message. Any suggestions welcome!
Thank you in advance,
Winnie
Hi @WinnieBell !
I apologize for my late response.
I just wanted to clarify: are you trying to edit your students email on the same account they originally had? If so, with free for teacher, it isn't possible to do that since you have to be a canvas admin to make changes, and that permission is only available to Instructure employees.
What I recommend instead to minimize issues (and if you don't need any of the grades or data from your students existing account) would be to have them sign up and register with their new email address. If for some reason their email does not seem to exist when you go to add them, hop onto your course settings and scroll down and enable Let students self-enroll by sharing with them a secret URL or code. From there, refresh your page and provide your student with the registration URL. They should be able to be added to your course, as long as their account registration is complete, without any issues.
Let me know if this helps!

I also am having this problem. I contacted the site and am awaiting a response.
I have heard from support and they may be working on this. The information sent to me was how to enroll students, but that doesn't speak to the problem. I sent a message back asking them to check the system. I gave them some information to work with.
I just tried again and it seems to be working now. Thanks all!
Yup! Seems like the past 24 hours there was some glitch. Thank goodness it's back on track I can add students again. I tried login ID and SSID those didn't work and I tried different browsers and they all didn't work. So thankfully whatever issue there was it is cleared up now!
