Can't enroll new users

Greetings,

I have a free teachers Canvas account. I have a course that is published.and has students actively engaged in learning (they have completed assignments). I have added several students to the course successfully in the past. Yesterday, when I added someone new to the course, they did not receive a course invitation. When I resent the invitation, I get a message in Canvas that said: Invitations aren't sent until the course is published. But the course IS published.

Why is this happening and how do I fix this?

Thank you!

Shawn Marie

Greetings @ShawnMarie1 .

That's actually just a reminder telling teachers to ensure that your course is published before resending invitations. Regardless if your course is published or not, it's going to display that message.

Please ensure that the user you're trying to add to your course has completed their registration with the free for teacher canvas platform. If they have and are still experiencing issues, I recommend providing them with a join code instead so they can register on their account themselves (that's usually what I recommend).

All the best,
Noah
