Roles & Permissions?

I am sorry if this is here somewhere, but with the ability to have "roles" displayed, is there anything about being able to modify a student's permissions within a discussion group? Like with middle school kiddos, they might say something in a discussion post that I might delete, but there is nothing that I know of that physically prevents that kid from going back in and posting the same thing. I get why these permissions might not be relevant to a college, but I would love to have granular participation permissions for K-12.
